With a wide range of recruitment knowledge having been in the industry since 2005 I have an understanding of what a contractor would need in the sense of general support around their role. Having stemmed from a recruitment background myself I have the confidence to talk about market rate and act as a point of contact for any issues a contractor may have on a daily basis. The organisation skills shine through looking after close to 100 contractors from an agency point of view. We all know Consultants are busy so how nice to have someone, like me, to act as a point of contact for contractor needs.
The skills of contractors I work with are a variety of Testers, Developers, Business Analysts, Project Managers, Support Specialists, Trainers, Designers, Performance Analyst’s and Data Analysts. As an agency we understand how busy our contractors are and how stressful things can be especially around the time of release and renewal. Why would they then want to have to worry about if they are being extended the following week? I engage with my contractors on a regular basis and ensure that around 6 weeks before renewal time we meet and speak about the next step. I engage directly with their Manager on their say so to find out details on a further renewal. This provides the contractor with peace of mind at an early date. All our contractors are important to us so should they need to look for a new role often due to budgetary reasons I will put them in touch with the relevant consultant at 7 FiftyTwo to look for the next role for them.
