What next?

Oliver Welch – Contract Team Manager

What Next? ……is the first thing that comes to mind on  my commute in to London every morning; will the financial markets be up, down, steady and what will be the negative headline of the day. At the moment it is pretty hard for anyone day to day to find the motivation they desperately require to help drive them to succeed and I, like most people are looking to the media for that boost of confidence with a headline of better things to come. This raises another question that how much of a negative effect does the media brings to the economy  with their waves of negativity; but I’ll save that for another day!

What I realised months ago is I could be waiting for some time for that positive headline and waiting for it is only going to make things worse and drag things out longer, certainly for me anyway. I look back to the past and I am definitely a glass half full person and with that a naturally positive outlook, and this is what I, and collectively the UK need to push towards. I strongly believe it is down to everyone of the us to think positively and look for those opportunity’s rather than concentrate on the problems and issues and allowing those positive opportunity’s pass us by. Easier said than done I know as we all have different challenges to face day to day but never underestimate the effect of one positive person and how they alone can inspire others to do the same.

It seems like months now since we were promised a resolve on the Europe situation and week after week the resolve is delayed; this to me is a clear sign that the problems in Europe and the rest of the world go far deeper than originally thought but if nothing else, we need  a plan from Europe with clear action points which can filter down to the wider population so we can all do our bit to get the economy back on track.

If you were expecting an answer on what next, well unfortunately that is an answer I do not have but I do know it is out there and confident there are better things to come; just keep an eye out for those opportunity’s.
